Maynooth Cycling Group strongly endorse the  policies put forward by international urbanists to promote cycling and reclaim towns and cities for people and communities rather than cars:

• Keep scale dense and low
• Turn car parks into public squares
• Encourage student living
• Honour the human scale
• Populate the core
• Reduce traffic and parking gradually
• Adapt the (city) townscape to changing seasons
• Convert streets into pedestrian thoroughfares
• Promote cycling as a major mode of transportation
