Maynooth Municipal District
County Kildare is divided into five municipal districts. Maynooth Town is part of the Clane-Maynooth Municipal District. It has 10 elected councillors who generally meet once per month to discuss matters pertaining to the district. Agendas and minutes of meetings are found here and here.
Kildare County Council
There is also a monthly meeting of the full council when all 42 councillors come together to discuss matters relevant to the county as a whole. Agendas and minutes of meetings are found here and here .
Transport Strategic Policy Committee
The Transport SPC Committee generally meets four times per year. The committee is made up of councillors and external stakeholders. In the last council, these included Maynooth Cycling Campaign who represented the PPN but we were forced to resign due to our preference for membership of the Sustainable Transport Forum. The May SPC meeting was cancelled as a result of the election and there has been no meetings of the new council since then. It is expected that the meetings will resume in 2025. Sustainable Transport Forum
The Sustainable Transport Forum first met in June 2023. it is expected to meet quarterly but like the SPCs, its meetings are interrupted before and after local elections No agendas or minutes had been uploaded (to June 2024). It is unclear where they will be located.
