We work patiently and constructively — making detailed submissions on local plans and road schemes, commenting on planning, engaging councillors, and joining national campaigns — to win safer, better-connected cycling in Maynooth and across Kildare.
Right now
The Celbridge Road links Maynooth and Celbridge and serves two primary schools, yet it's a difficult and dangerous route to walk or cycle. We're pressing for the missing link to the Straffan Road, a real buffer between children and traffic rather than paint, narrower traffic lanes to bring speeds down, and priority for people on foot and bike across every side road. Public submissions close at 5pm on Wednesday 5 August.
Have your say →There's no proper walking or cycling access between the Royal Canal Greenway and Tesco. Improving that link would make everyday trips easier on foot and by bike — a small but valuable change we're raising with local councillors.

Learn more →Maynooth has come a long way. There are now some genuinely good pieces of cycling infrastructure in the town — alongside plenty that still falls short. The progress is real but uneven, and there's a fair distance to go before cycling here feels safe and welcoming for everyone. That's why we keep at it: every submission, every meeting and every member moves us forward.
Every member makes us stronger when we ask for safer streets — and keeps us independent and locally funded. Membership starts at €30 a year.
